And we have movement. Just some little swimming actions but so weird to feel. I am so excited for paul to feel them in a few weeks!
Our big gender u/s is scheduled for March 5!

Nothing too exciting this week, other than a wedding we attended and the dress I wore, wow did it make the 'bump pop'. here's a pic at the wedding (and when I am sitting down and then my weekly picture).

15 weeks

This week we found out the last change in our due date (hopefully!) and the baby is now due on August 3rd, 2010.
This week I heard the baby's heartbeat on a doppler at my midwife appointment (February 11th) It was so neat!

Popping?

So far before I was pregnant and we had started family planning I kept hearing about this stage in pregnancy when you would poof 'pop!' This to me implied that you'd go to bed one day with a little bit of a chubbier tummy than usual and wake up to a ginormous 'popped' baby belly. This to me was the time when your baby had quadrupled overnight in your stomach.

So far this has been a BIG FAT LIE.

Here is a picture of my stomach at 6 weeks I believe (no I was not a size 4) and then here is the steady progression. No sudden popping just a continuous fat looking belly. I realize that eventually I will stop looking just a bit plumper and it will be a definable "I don't have to mention i am pregnant cause you'll know by looking at me kind of belly". But waiting to get there is TORTUROUS!

Oh well, maybe I won't ever pop, I'll just continue to chub?

14.5 weeks in

So I had thought positively (and experiences) the nausea subsiding. But it is back with a vengeance! But I guess it is good to know everything is still progressing smoothly?

We had a tiny lesson on a few different types and brands of cloth diapers which got our minds thinking about the baby being here in what seems like a long time (at times), but a time which we know will go far more quickly than we expected (at others :)

We get lots of suggestions from various people regarding everything you could imagine, which we generally smile and nod to and then promptly forget! We'll figure it out as we come to it, is our motto. Life only happens once and we don't want to be caught up doing ridiculous prep work, and miss something very important to us!

We are so excited to find out which name you'll have (when we find out your sex) in less than 6 weeks. We have a midwife appointment in 10 days and we're excited to learn a bit more about this path that we're on from the people we've chosen to support us during it.

oh and the baby is about the size of a navel orange. I thought that was pretty crazy since when we found out we were pregnant it was the size of a poppy seed!
